Membership Meeting Minutes

The February 11, 2019 meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm. by President, Steve Rees.  There were 27 members present and 2 guest, Mike & Holly Quick they own a 2017 Z51 Convertible.  Currently the club membership is 163 with 91 households.

Steve welcomed everyone.

There was no program at the meeting. President Steve Rees did present a mystery

spotlight which talked about Robin and Lisa Jones. That is always a fun way to learn about our members. Please contact Steve if you would like to participate

Treasurer’s Report:  A detailed report was presented. A copy of the treasurer’s report was  available for those wanting to view during meetings. A motion was made to accept the Treasurer’s Report and was seconded and approved. The audit committee did meet in January and complete the audit with no discrepancies. The board also presented a budget for this year. Members were asked what they would like to do regarding the $500 budgeted for the St. Jude Corvette Drive Sponsorship. Since we had a successful year with the selling of dining tour books; $1086 was raised. The question was raised should the club still budget $500 for St Jude Corvette Drive. One suggestion was to add that to the total for St. Jude, another idea was to split the money between St. Jude Corvette Drive and Kids Shoe Fund. It was voted on giving $250 to the Shoe Fund and $250 to St. Jude Corvette Drive.

Secretary’s Report: January's Meeting minutes were approved and seconded to accept.  These minutes will be emailed along with the January 14, 2019 minutes to all members.  Those without an email address will be mailed via U.S. mail.

Governor’s Report:   None.   Convention information is at the activity table.  Sign up for the September Autocross is also at the activity table.

Activities Report:  All events are on the website midillinoiscorvetteclub@gmail.com. calendar.  Rich Anderson usually sends a reminder email/invite before an event.

Our next event is on Saturday February 16 for Valentines Day at Venezia Italian Bistro in Pekin at 5:00 pm.

The club continues to grow; there are many activities to participate in.  Before meetings several members meet at Kep’s in Washington at 5:00 pm for dinner.

Remember this is your club!  There are many opportunities to volunteer from serving as a board member to leading an event to helping with one of our charities. We wouldn’t exist without our members/volunteers.
